just wanted to share this.I have been haveing trouble with matching a front panel in my audio rack.Tried flat black paint,satin,gloss but nothing matched.this is what i endend up with and it looks great.Sanded the panel with 60 grit sand paper in one direction,then used tru blue gun blueing liquid,let sit washed with water then applied a second coat.Just wanted to share my find.

Art teachers will tell their students that there is no such color as true black. Everything has a pigment or is a combination of dark colored pigments.

Sometimes it's dark brown, or I guess in your case... Blue. heh

Blueing is actually pretty fun to do as well. My son was pretty amazed at how quickly the metal turns color.
