My Home Theatre construction - check it out!

Hi everyone. This is my first post here so be gentle

I just wanted share my experiences in the hope it will give others some ideas and help.

I've just finished doing a complete documentary guide to the planning, construction and implementation of my home theatre room. It shows the room at each stage of construction and the decisions I made along the way, and includes the wiring, the choice of speakers, the screen design & construction, and hopefully other ideas to help others.

It's taken me over 2 weeks to construct the site which documents 12 months of construction but hopefully it's been worth it.

Please check it out and give me some feedback. It would be greatly appreciated.

Either click on it, or try copying and pasting the URL in my signature.

Enjoy!!!

That HTPC is insane! I hope I can get one of those one day (when I'm rich ).
Nice start, can't wait to see the totally finished product.

Matt:

I love the layout. That Panasonic is a great projector.

Very, very nice room.

Hey Matt,

Excellent archive for your project to share with family and friends for years to come. I too, agree with LaMarcus - that is one serious HTPC!! I know he's an XBox fan, but I could see some serious AOE III or Civ IV playing on that system I should also point out it's nice to see an Nvidia card in your machine - my brother works for Nvidia so I like to see people supporting them... LOL!!

Congrats and welcome to the 'family'.

Cheers,
Andrew

While I have many years experience with PCs, I am only just tapping into their usefulness as HTPCs. I'm finding it an exciting experience. The one box replaces all my A/V gear and does more.

While I haven't thought a lot about playing games on it, I'm looking forward to pulling out my flight yoke and rudder peddles and firing up Flight Simulator 2004 on the big screen!

Thanks to everyone for their feedback - much appreciated.
