Connecting projector to output devices...
Am trying to do some tweaking to my current setup to get the best out of my projector. (NEC MT1030+)
My current setup at the moment is a DVD Recorder, Sky Digibox & PS2 connected to a scart control box (manual switch) and the output goes into the television.
Although the scart control box has a scart out & composite out you can use one or the other - NOT both.
If I use both then the signal to the projector loses luminance and appears 'bleached' If I want to use the projector I have to unplug the TV scart from the scart control box and connect the projector then to the composite out.
Ideally, I would like to connect using the S-video cable as this is better than composite but this adds another problem - My sky digibox is projected with colour 'bleeding' and I have to select 'PAL' in the setup as opposed to RGB which then affects the quality to the TV. As a result of this I appear to be stuck with the composite video connection.
What I would like to ask is how other people have connected multiple sources to their projector. Does anyone have a TV & projector connected at the same time and if so, how have they connected things up so they don't lose any quality?
If anyone needs to know what connections I've got on the devices in question I can list them but obviously I'd have to have a look first so I know myself.
