Hello all,

For about three years now I have had three Kit-281s and two Kit-81 speaker kits. My orginal plan was to build two ported and one sealed 281 along with two sealed 81s for the rears but I just haven't gotten around to building them yet.

Last Friday I discovered a pretty good deal on Energy speakers so I decided to head to the local Good Guys to see what they sounded like. I spent a good 20 minutes or so listening to the C-9s and really enjoyed the sound of them. I don't like harsh midrange or overly bright highs and I think the C-9s were just about right.

So here's my question, how do floorstanding Kit-281s sound in comparison to the Energy C-9s? I'm trying to decide whether to build my Adire kits or sell them off and buy a set of Energy speakers. If I do decide to sell the Adire kits off, how much would those be worth?
