Fiber optic lighting...?

Have any of you use fiber optic lighting in you theater or else where?

I've never used it and I was thinking of using it to light my eq. cabinet.

If any of you have any experience or know of a good system for this please let me know.

It tends to be expensive.

We've recently had some new systems installed at work, but I can't remember the name right now; it's European, and I believe they use glass fibers only. (Some do glass, others plastic, and others still both.) It's a real nice system, though, but I'm sure it costs a major fortune...

I've looked at a few on-line and the price range was really long, anywhere from $65 to THOUSANDS. I'd really like to keep it under $100..
