Budget kits

Now that SCH appears to exist no longer who is the budget speaker king?
My budget is around $350 for mains and center. Who would you recommend for a 70/30 HT to music ratio?

These are for my dad who is not an audiophile by any means, which is why I was keeping the $ low.
So, should I just go with GR Reseach and tell him he's just going to have to live with good speakers, whether he likes it or not or are there other options for less money?

Parts Express has a kit that's something like $125/pr, not sure what it's called, but most DIY speakers will be more than $200/pr. The GR stuff is a good option.

Three AV-1s cost about $350. If that is your budget I would go for it.

Send a message via AIM to Allen Ross
i'd look at the PE MTM kit that uses those dayton 6.5 drivers, and dayton tweet, cheap and very prominent in the low end for the price.

Right on, thanks for the input. I'll check out the PE kits.
