Do S-video switches hurt quality?

hey guys,

Im going to be using S-video to my projector which is connected through 25Ft Dayton S-video cabling. I was wondering, if i put a splittler (switchbox) on the end so i can chose between DVD, Computer, and Gamecube, and i going to be mising on any quality? I already own one from wal-mart, i think i paid 30-40 bux for it..

Theoretically...yes.....actually...probably not. As long as its a good quality switcher there shouldn't be much difference. Do a test! if you see a difference decide if its worth it

I use a s-video switch box from Lowe's with my DVD, TV & PS2. My projector has a 30' cable running to it. I have compared it with a direct connection and can not tell the difference. My PS2 has a far better picture with the s-video through the switch box than connected with the RCA cables.
Try it, if your happy, thats the best test.
