How is this recoton calibration DVD?

I was looking for a calibration DVD, but didn't want to spend 30 bucks. I saw this on ebay for a few dollars. Is it good?

If not, what are some other good ones? thanks

Never seen it- but I'd imagine you get what you pay for... if having your HT up to display standards isn't worth $30- you might ask why you've spent the cash you've spent so far.

Ask anyone here what the best value investment in improving their system has been, i would imagine 99% would say a calibration disc.

Avia can be had on amazon for 35$. Cheaper elsewhere perhaps.

DVE (Digital Video Essentials) is 19$ or less.

Sound & Vision Magazine Tune-up (basically Avia -lite) on their website including shipping for 22$.

I personally prefer Avia for it's ease of navigation (have not used the S&V disc). That and a Radio Shack Sound Meter have been well worth the money spent.

Check some off your DVD's for the THX optimizer. It has some of the video optimizers.
