I am about to this stage of the project so, What in-wall speaker wire is everyone running?

Monster CI Pro, 14 guage. $80 for a 500 foot spool, seemed the way to go.

Better make sure that what you use is up to electrical code. If your house burns down you may have issues with the insurance company. Home Depot sells grey wire specifically for this purpose and it meets code.

Low voltage wire (including speaker cable)should not have any code issues unless:
1. You are running it in a plenum (air return), improbable in residential construction.
2. You have a very draconian building code.

Chris, I point out this issue since some people don't know what their building codes are. I would hate to see someone get burned (pun not intended) by their insurance co because they didn't hire licensed people. I won't take the chance.

Like Steve, I ran the stuff from Parts Express. Except, I ran the 2 conductor 12 Ga stuff, which is $98.00 for 500 ft.

I used CL3 (in wall rated) 14 gauge 4 conductor (when twisted together = 11 gauge) from here. Home Theater Direct

Home Depot 12ga zip cord. They don't carry 12ga anymore only 14ga here in north Texas.
