Metal Oxide vs. Wire Wound?

I'm have a delima, I'm not sure which type of resistor to order. I will be using them for an Adire speaker kit, I'm lookinf for a warm sound, lively, dynamic sound. Any suggestions?

The difference is so small that you shouldn't worry about it - just get the most easily accessible/cheapest variety. We have enough trouble agreeing if the capacitors are noticeable.

Resistors only need to be non-inductive and have enough heat dissipation to handle the current going through them. Most resistors sold for speaker building can handle the power.

wire wound resistors have high inductance. usually not a good thing, unless accounted for in the crossover design.
