Help! Monster Xterminator or Cardas Double banana plug?

I have spades on my receiver end that need to be bananas. I'm thinking about purchasing a used set of cardas double banana plugs, or monster xterminators. Can anybody offer some advice on which would be better, or should I have my audioquest type 4's reterminated?

I just worry the person who re-terminates them will screw it up.

the cost of the Cardas are $50Cdn for 2 pair
the Monster's are $87Cdn for 2 pair.

Your insight is appreciated,

It seems to me that a good deal of the purchase price of the Monster stuff goes to funding their legal team:

The general consensus I've seen is that Monster stuff isn't bad, but it is overpriced. And for picking on the little guy, they won't be getting any of my business.

Well, why not just pick up banana plugs locally where you can insert the wire and use a set screw to fix it in place?

Thanks folks, went with the cardas, talked him down to $40 Cdn for the two pair. Sound is good, just didn't want to mess with re-termination. Never done it before and didn't want to screw it up.

I appreciate the feedback, that's why I love forums like this! Happy holidays.
