hey everyone
this is my first post on this forum. my family and i are in the process of building our dream home. i'm looking into putting together some peices for home automation. i would normally do my own research and then ask questions but i'm sure all of you can understand the stresses of doing a completely custom house an the deadlines associated with it. we recently moved from basic layout to scaled layout and are about to draw up the blueprints.
due to the time restraints can someone please walk me through in putting together an automation system. i would like to be able to control audio/video, lighting, and heating a/c. if budget allows i would also like to look into a security camera and the front door lock being integrated into it all.
at present we'd like to put together something around $5,000. is this possible? if so what areas of concern do i even need to consider?
