I am moving to a new house in a few weeks and I will need a longer run for my Xantech remote extender system. Currently, the lead from the receiver to the connecting block is about 6 feet. In the new house, I will need about 25 feet (to be safe).

What kind of wire can/should I use to splice into it to get the extra length? IIRC a comment made in the past, I should be able to use almost any kind of wire....

Thanks ahead of time for help!!!!

I will need to check mine, but IIRC, its just three conductor, non shielded. As such, 22g should be fine.

I actually had the dog chew through it once, so instead of the nice stereo mini-plug that terminated the cable from my DinkyLink, I had to go with bear wires and terminate to a 3 pin Phoenix connector.
