Is Home Depot's 14/2 CL2 rated wire good?

I am curious if the wire that Home Depot sells which is 14/2 CL2 is good for HT use with the longest run being 40'? It is the kind with the gray sheath. Home Depot is the only place that sells 14/2 in my town and I need the wire by tomorrow. Thanks!

I saw 12/2 oxygen free at the local HD I'm sure there are many that would say that they can hear the difference between this and wire that cost 10 times as much but I feel it will be fine. I would try to get 12/2 if you can it just may help at little more over the 40'. Since the price of this cable is relatively cheap I have even considered bi-wiring the speakers. to see if I hear a difference.

Thanks Roy. My HD has nothing bigger than 14/2, I double checked. I am happy with it though and will be using it.

Was the 12/2 at your HD twisted? How much was it per foot?

I don't recall it being twisted, as it had a sheath over it all similar to NMD90 house wire, I think it was priced at $283cdn for 300m (1000ft)or about 33 cents /ft but I'm not sure that was the price so don't hold me to it.
