I need help recognizing a DIY Kit

I "aquirred" some speakers and I wanted to know how or if I could figure out what types these are.

shallow box, 1 5.5 kevlar woofer and 1 1" dome tweeter

whoever made these sealed the pseakers in with clear caulking so I havent taken the drivers out yet. I just thought someone with some expertise in DIY would recognise it.

anything?

It would help a lot if you would post pictures of teh speakers. There are a lot of kits out there and it would take a vary long time to search through all of them. Are you sure they are infact kits and that whoever built them didnt design them?

You've just discribed several speakers made with kevlar.

Maybe Parts Express carries them...Do a search for Kevlar there.....

www.partsexpress.com

Also..what color is the cone? How about some "better" discriptions..

OK I looked at speakers at PE, the woofers look like the vifa MG series - about a 5"-5 1/2" yellow kevlar woofer

tweeter could have been replaced with something new cause I think the tweeter looks like a 1" dome from a car component with the metal grille ontop of it.

If I had a digicam Id take pics, sorry

PS its in a very shallow box, like only 5" deep
