Can you use a digital audio coax cable as a sub cable?

Hello all:
I was going to purchase the following cable to hook up my sub. Can you use digital audio coax cables, such as this one: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...5&dotd=022004.

There's nothing inherently "digital" about that cable. Yes, it would work fine as a sub cable.
