2 Final Questions I Swear! :P

Hey Guys,
Two final questions. When I'm soldering my voice coils together(on a Tempest) how do I tell which side is which? :-x Secondly, has anyone here used a Part Express 250 plate amp? I'm just curious if it gets very hot on the inside. I don't want to have poly fill all around it if it gets near dangerously warm.

Thanks,
Kevin

On the voice coil connector spades, look for a "+" and "-" near each set of spades.

It's the heatsink fins on the face of the place amp that dissapate most of the heat.

Kevin,

Better to ask and get it right!

Patrick is correct. Each connector should be clearly marked with a "+" or a "-". I don't remember whether the "+" terminals also have a red dot, but if there is a red dot, that's the positive terminal. To hook up in parallel, run wire from one "+" terminal to the other, and another wire from one "-" terminal to the other. The Adire site has clear instructions on this.

You're going to love it!
