Possible finishing tip

A while back, someone posted about drinking glasses leaving marks on wood finishes, like speaker tops. (possibly Hank)

Last year my father in law had me use a product called "OZ Cream Polish". He used it on many of the pieces of furniture he built, and it does in fact seem to stop any water penetration into the finish.

Water does bead up, and the only piece I finished with it has a very durable finish. Water spot free.

The only thing I see on the container is:

H Behlen & Bro, Inc, Amsterdam NY

but I do not know for sure how you get some. He got it at a woodworking show.

Since I was down in the basement, this has been on my mind and I could get my hands on the container, I would post info.

Thanks Pete.

That's the stuff. Except what I used came out of a can.

Anyone else used this product? I know it doesdn't look like much, but it worked for me.

Yes, that's my continuous warning about oil finishes - they are the least actual protection for wood, and liquids will spot them. I don't know what is in the Behlen's but there must be a wax of some sort. It's in the wax section of the Woodcraft web site:
