What is Group Delay with Winisd

Could someone explain what the group delay is telling me in Winisd.
Is this related to speaker phase or ms time for certain Frequnces.
If so what is ideal delay

Thanks again

GD is the difference in the arrival time of different frequencies, ie phase shift. Obviously "0" is ideal, but the audibility of GD is subs is a topic that's highly debated. 16ms or lower seems a good goal. But don't sweat it if it's higher. The room itself, and all the associated electronics in the signal path (crossover, amps, EQ, etc, etc,) have an effect as well.

BTW if you get tired of banging your head against WinISD and have MS Excel, download a copy of Unibox V4.xx
