is there anyway to run component output from the receiver to both a tv and a projector at once??? so i don't have to keep switching cables behind my receiver?

Generally it's not a good idea to split your video signal. Double that in your case as you are magnifying the display way, way up. (You are more likely to see problems). When you split the signal, you only provide 50% of the original strength to each leg, let alone the impedence/reflection problems you cause.

A component video switcher is a better choice.

This link to Component Video Switching discusses several switchers from about $49 to $200 that can do the trick.
