Best option for custom Subwoofer RCA cable?

I just moved all of A/V Sources into the closet of an extra bedroom, leaving only speakers and TV in the livingroom. I have about a 50 foot run from the receiver to the TV, front speakers, and sub. I used Cat5e for the S-Video and the Sub's RCA. The S-Video looks good, but from the sub I get a slight 60Hz hum when the receiver is on, and a very loud 60Hz hum when the receiver is off.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this easily, or do I need to go ahead and run RG6 for the sub?

I went ahead and ran RG6, no more hum.
