Upconvert Composite to S-Video

I'd like to convert the composite signals from my VHS and standard Cable box to S-Video. I want all signals to be S-video going into my reciever in order send S-Video2 out to my projector. I don't expect a gain in quality, but I'd like the signal to suffer as little as possible. Are there any inexpesive yet effective solutions to this?

Looks perfect! Do these work well? Monster sells one from Intech (sic) for $99 and I have seen others for ~$60 and I like this price MUCH better

Radio Shack also sells a cheap $20 unit that does the job.

I use those Parts Express composite to S-video adapters for the same purpose you are - convenience. They work fine. Obviously no gain in signal, but no drop off that I can tell.
