Motorized front projector mount.

First of all I would like to say thanks for all the great information and knowledge that is given freely on this forum. This is my first post and I am trying to figure out if anybody knows where to find or how to build a motorized front projector mount. It needs to fit between floor joists on 16 inch center. I have motorized drapery and x1 lighting control and this would just be the cherry on top. Any information would be great thanks.

This is one possible solution. You will need upper and lower limit switches/sensors for starters. I will try to find details and post back here.

A commercially built unit such as the one depicted is available but was priced well over $3K in the A/V catalog I have at work.

Hmmm...
I think I saw an advertisement in "Home Theater Builder" for a device such as this. Pick one up from the news stand and check it out. I'll look up the name of the advertiser when I get home tonight.

I found the ad I mentioned above. I think you can find a lift that will fit your needs at this site. auton.com
