I'm making a set of 5 speakers for my sister-in-law for Christmas, and was going to just do single driver vented TB 871s (like Elf 1.0), make 5 and be done. But ordering from
nueracoustic the price drops for 6 speakers (currently $8.25 each!) so I was thinking about making the center channel an ELf 1.5 equivalent.
I don't want to step on Alan or Brian's toes, but I was wondering if someone could shoot me a simple crossover to make the 2 driver design work. I remember seeing something by Jim Griffin? referred to, but I can't find any original thread.
I don't have the budget to just order the kit from Alan for the 1.5, and if it's not cool for me to ask for crossover info, I understand, and I'll probably just stick with the one driver for the center.
I don't need the absolute perfect crossover, just something that would sound OK. These are going in a small apartment with an Onkyo sr500 to drive them.
