Rptv Riser...

I just took delivery (Monday) of my new 51H83. Problem being...Due to room constraints I don't have room for a separate rack to house the other HT components. I'm thinking of builing a "riser" about 6-8 inches in height to set the 51 on. My vision is a riser that is either carpeted to match the floor or painted to match the silver of the TV. To keep the dust to a minimum, I'm thinking a smoke colored plexiglass access door that swings down to get to the gear. I'm a fairly accomplished carpenter, so making it look good is not the problem. QUESTION...Anyone built one or have any other ideas that I may not have though of? FYI...The wall/corner the HTS is on won't accomodate building a "cubby hole" in the wall to house the gear. Thanks...

How about a wall mount cabinet that runs the width of the room, but with a low profile.

You could even position it to hold your centre channel speaker.

... or even a side wall cabinet.

simplicity is genius...
