Sub and Amp
I own a Samson S700 (350w X 2). I recently inherited a SonoSub that uses a 12in Single Voice Coil Sub Speaker Driver rated at 4ohm. I would like to bridge my amp to provide 700W to the sub since the driver is rated at 1000+. Only problem is, the amp manual states that, once briged, the Amp need to be connected to an 8ohm speaker. Since mine is SVC and only 4ohm, what do I use to turn my 4ohm into an 8ohm. I know I can use resisters but what will that do to my power and frequency response. Any suggestions so I can use the full 700W?
