Type of wire for in-wall extension
So I'm gona be running a long length of S-vid/Audio cable (50 ft) from the AV closet to the living room for the mythTV box. Gotta love partsexpress.. under 9 bucks for the whole shabang.
Anyway, the only other thing I need to have on the wall plate in the living room is a serial port for the IR receiver to control the box. There are 9 pins, and I'm curious as to what type of wire you guys would recommend using for this run.
For the wall plates I plan on stealing some ports off an old IO Card and cutting the holes in the plates. I assume I won't have any trouble getting the signal to travel 50ft.
