Cedia Boot Camp

I would appreciate your advice on sources of information or training
courses to get trained for the installation of home automation, home
theater and alarm systems.

I'm primarily interested in the installation of home theater systems.
Any recommendation on sources of learning to install home theater
systems will be very appreciated (also recommendations on sources of
learning for the installation of automation for lighting & voices/data
systems) Entire home integration.

Is it worth attending Cedia Boot Camp in Indianapolis.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I was looking into just this thing a month or so back. I ended up hooking up with a local place that has CEDIA certified installers. 1 guy is level 1 and 1 guy is 1, 2, and Designer. They both say that the boot camp is pretty basic and can be skipped. They do both feel that CEDIA certification is worth while. My advice for what is worth is to do what I did. Go to CEDIA site (sorry can't link yet) and look for local places. I was able to get a job with them doing installs. I'm learning and getting paid to do it. I will seek CEDIA certification but no plain ticket to Indianapolis, no 900$ boot camp
