building sono sub

Hey guys I am about to build my first sonotube sub and I am trying to decide between 2 different drivers either the SVS ISD 12" driver or the Dayton mkII 12" sub which do you guys think I should go with since I do not have any experience with either.
Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

1st off, SVS doesn't sell their drivers to DIY'ers, only to customers who need to replace a bad driver out of the warranty period(or upgrading from the original CS woofer). Besides, SVS doesn't make the T/S parameters available to DIY'ers either.

The Dayton drivers are good, but just so you know, Stryke is about to offer a new woofer, the SAE1201. It has a Vd of 1.6L for only $85(preorder price). I don't know of another driver with that kind of output abilities for such a low price. Heck, why not get two at that price.
