Since my Shiva Redux is coming along slowly, I am at the point to start considering stuffing it. But, since the driver and amp are at the bottom of the enclosure, I don't want my stuffing coming in direct contact with them.

How have you guys/gals been stuffing your downfiring sonotubes and the like?

I thought about using some sort of netting or possibly grille cloth to suspend my stuffing over the driver... however, I'm also concerned with how the cloth/netting might affect airflow.

How are you keeping it up?

Can we just talk about HT stuff here?
I've never heard anyone say they've done anything other than just tossing it in the box. As long as it's loosely filled I don't know of a problem it would create.

Dave,

I used speaker grille cloth. It's supposed to be acoustically transparent right? So I cut a piece and glued it above the driver, as a net, to hold stuffing off the drivers.

Hi. I just recently built a sealed enclosure for my Tempest subwoofer. I bought a can of 3M spray on glue and sprayed one space at a time and then put a layer of acoustastuff over the glued area until all the walls and ceiling were covered. I have been using it for a month now and none of it has come off at all.
You might think about giving that a try.
