HDTV Recording with DVI
I have read a number of articles about planned PVR devices that will allow recording of HDTV programming. Nothing in Tivo will work for HDTV as of today.
Does anyone have an idea as to how and when we will be able to record HDTV broadcasts that are received into devices using DVI cables? The issue of copy protection comes into play...but how can I record something that I am paying for in the first place for my archival viewing?
I have a Samsung SIR-160 HDTV DirecTV receiver, Onkyo THX certified 989v2 receiver with DVI connections, and Marantz 12SV-2 DLP Projector with DVI connection.
Any ideas?
