Infinite Baffle Setup

In my room a portion of the ceiling is dropped to box in pipes and stuff. This was done with steel frame and drywall -sheetrock.

The volume inside this dropped area would be sufficient for an IB setup, however I was wondering if drywall(sheetrock) is enough to isolate the front and back waves from each other? and if mounting the baffle to material of this nature will cause vibrational concerns?

Thanks alot
adam
