This is the start to my HT System

I am currently setting up my Home theater for my basement and would like to see what you guys think.

The last pic is how the construction has gone so for.

I am looking into the Hitachi 57" Wide-screen. Hence the Hole in the Wall for the TV.

Also, I was in some quandary about whether to have the back speakers mounted on Ceiling or put Back speakers on a speaker stand and where to put the Sub?

With the rear speakers the best is to see where you like them the best(soundwise).
Sub is all about placement....I didn't like mine in any of the 3 corners and that is why it is between the left front speaker and the Entertainment center.

Hi Matthew and welcome to the forum. Seeing your basement takes me back to this time last year when I started my HT in New Berlin. I'm almost finished but still have a few things to do. Have you considered front projector instead of an RP? I was going to go with a 65" RP, but decided to go with the FP instead and am glad I did. Now I'll be able to have a 106" picture instead of a 65". I would definately wall mount the surrounds. One thing you might try with the sub is to place it in your main seating spot. Then walk around the room and see where it sounds best from there. Where it sounds best is where you should place it. Mine is between my left front main and my center speaker. Good luck!

Are those your surround speakers so close to the couch? Personally, I like to give speakers room to do their stuff. Can you do a side wall or a rear placement at least 4ft from the couch?
