Cool. Thanks for posting this. I've been waiting for an official announcement.

Overall, it sounds like a pretty solid release. I'm a bit disappointed that they're not including the uncut version of the film and also that the trailers and tv spots aren't being included.

"uncut" version? I don't remember anything from the SD original release to be missing anything from the theatrical release. I would expect this one to be the theatrical release as well, non?

Looks like I'll be heading off to R3 (or whatever the BD region is out there) to get this then. Thank heavens for multi-region BD players! :-)

No thanks, nothing listed there worth the cost of a double-dip.

US version is cut in the stairwell fight scene to secure a PG-13 rating. Removed was Obanno's henchmen hitting the ground or Obanno crashing into the glass window. Additionally the struggle at the bottom of the stairwell was shortened.

There were also a few shots cut from the black and white bathroom fight at the beginning. There's a little more rough & tumble as Bond and the guy fight and then in the US theatrical version, the movie cuts away from Bond drowning the guy in the sink.

I guess we got a different release in Canada, as I seem to recall those scenes as you describe them. However, I won't swear to it. I'll have to check out my copy of the SD release to be sure.

Is it possible the cuts were put back into the film and it still managed to secure a PG-13 rating? The uncut bonds films on the last box set that was releases on SD-DVDs were uncut and said nothing about it on the box.
