CULVER CITY, CALIF. (July 14, 2008) – Golden Globe® and Emmy® Nominee Patrick Dempsey (TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy”) and Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible III) star in the romantic comedy Made of Honor, debuting on DVD and Blu-ray™ High Def September 16 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film follows the story of Tom (Dempsey), who suddenly realizes he has fallen in love with his best friend Hannah (Monaghan), while she is away on a business trip in Scotland. Upon her return, Hannah announces her engagement to a dashing Scotsman and asks Tom to be her “maid” of honor, giving him the opportunity to win her for himself. The DVD bonus materials include both Full and Widescreen versions of the film and Director’s Commentary by Paul Weiland (Sixty Six), while the Blu-Ray™ High Def also contains the Director’s Commentary, Deleted Scenes and two Making-of Featurettes, Save the Date and Three Weddings and a Skyline. SYNOPSIS:
Tom loves his life, until he realizes he also loves his best friend Hannah. But when Hannah gets engaged to a dashing Scotsman and asks Tom to be her maid of honor, Tom faces hostile bridesmaids, bridal showers, and bad hair days, all in an effort to pull off the perfect wedding and steal the bride. He’s a maid of honor with a plan.
Directed by Paul Weiland (City Slickers II: The Legend of Curley’s Gold), Made of Honor is produced by Neal H. Moritz (I Am Legend, Vantage Point) from a screenplay by Adam Sztykiel and Deborah Kaplan & Harry Elfont. The story is by Adam Sztykiel. Executive Producers are Callum Greene, Tania Landau, Amanda Lewis, Marty Adelstein, Aaron Kaplan, Sean Perrone, and Ryan Kavanaugh.
