Why is Paramount so rude to consumers?
First of all, when they announced they were going Red only, they just pulled all of their titles, regardless on whether or not they were pressed. I mean, why Pull Blades of Glory when it was already in stores hands? Why not just stop making new ones and sell what you have already made.
Then, now that they have gone Blu, they have canceled There will be Blood and other titles. I mean, so why did they announce the titles AFTER Toshiba had conceeded defeat.
I am Blu, so happy to have them come out on Blu, but I think their disrespect for the consumer should be awarded with them becoming the lowest selling Blu ray content provider on the market.

Re: Why is Paramount so rude to consumers?
I hear you on that one. I am blu too!! And have been since day 1. It seems like they really didn't care about us altogether. I mean, look at how many titles they had on Blu and DUD, they had the fewest of all of the studios. I think it was about 33 before they went RED. So, I don't know what they have planned for us coming in the next few months, but I hope they improve on customer relations.
Not to mention, remember how they fired Tom Cruise, pissed of Speilberg and his staff? This maybe just how they do business. It's really sad if this is just apart of corporate practices.

Seems more a case of corporate confusion than trying to intentionally be rude to customers.

Paramount pisses me off. First they refused to release the MacGyver TV movies separate from the complete series box. Then they stick us with only the goofy director's cut of Payback in hi-def. They're definitely on my shit list as far as studios go.

Robert, care to shed some light on this?
Anyway, I agree. Paramount needs to improve their practise. They just seem to be eager to grab our money any way they can. Too bad I like Star Trek, since they have perfected their rip tactic with that franchise.

Guys, don't forget who we're talking about here. This is a studio that originally supported Divx over DVD. Enough said.

Wow. I thought the director's cut of Payback was far better than the version that was taken away from him. I guess there is no accounting for taste, mine or yours.

I can't believe people actually like it better without Kris Kristofferson. I absolutely love the theatrical cut of it.

I liked it better when it was called Point Blank and had Lee Marvin in it. It put both versions of Payback to shame.
