The coupons can be found inside the glossy Hollywood Video ad booklets typically found near the front of the store.

The HD-DVD titles will sell quickly so stop by sooner for the best selection.
Bob, thanks for the heads up on the coupon which made it 2 for $14.99 rather than 2 for $20.

If any of you belong to Columbia House, they are doing BOGO on all HDM discs they carry (both formats). The kicker is it includes pre-orders!

This thing just can't be over quickly enough for some people!

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

I am at what I think is the Columbia site and I can't see HDM anywhere.

Have a specific link?

Thanks in advance

When you first log in, there's a banner near the top of the screen. I missed it the first time too!

The good news: Yesterday I discovered that one of the local Hollywood Videos isn't closed yet, even though it doesn't come up on the website store search. The bad news: No HD-DVDs or PS3 games. Oh well. . .

Scooter-
You may have to be a member to see it. It may be worth look at Hollywood video again today as Beowulf came out today and my local store got two copies that were promptly sold as used for $14.95

Aaron, thanks for your reply.

Adam..thanks for both head's up. At H.V., are the discs always sent in rental cases or do they arrive in the original, retail case?

My local HV had original cases for some discs in the back, the rest were rental cases with the original paper inserts. I bought enough that I ordered a 50 pack of original HD DVD cases for $20 (plus shipping) so I could put them back in the red cases and replace a few cracked cases I have.

Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!

After hearing about some Hollywood Videos (Thanks Mike!) selling off their HD-DVD stock, I got in on the 2 fo 20.00 deal last weekend. Walked away with 10 HD-DVDs at 10 bucks apiece... not bad!

Now after hearing about that lil' 2 for 1 deal (in the magazine) on previously viewed marked at 14.99 and less, I decided to give it one more try.

I went in and inquired about it. The clerk diidn't know. Then the manager came over and pointed vaguely to the fine print and said it was for DVD product only. Hmmm, ok. I guess I don't need to rebuy all the Mission Impossible films and and pick another to keep it an even number. I'll just buy the two I came in for.

While I was in line, I was trying to read that fine print. The eyes aren't as good as they used to be, but nowhere could I find that it said for "DVD product only" As a matter of fact, the only wording I could see was that it said for previously viewed movies.

I brought this to the attention of the manager at check out. She said, "Well, when that was printed, they didn't know that we'd be selling the HD-DVDs."

I pointed out that they were still honoring the other deal (2 for 20). After a little more back and forth she honoered the deal, but only for the two I had in my hand.

So for a total of 16 bucks, including tax, I walked away with The Brave One and Beowulf. The kicker is, that since Beowulf came out yesterday... it was not precviously viewed!

I have a feeling that manager is going to get tired of me before they run out of stock.

Good work, Ric!
