Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!
Can we get this thread retitled as "Consolidated high-def Bargain Thread!"?
The first post says it is for both HD-DVD and BluRay, but since HD is thought of as an abbreviation for HD-DVD, the title is not as clear as it can be. And judging by the dominance of HD-DVD sales mentioned in it, this may be common.

Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!
I noticed today that tower.com has Blu's of Dark City for $10.99, the Mission Impossibles for $16.99 (about a dollar less than Amazon, so good for adding to bring the bill up the free-shipping threshold of $25), V for Vendetta for under $14, and many more for $16 and $17. Batman Begins is $15 and change, etc.

Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!
Just posted a thread in the Bargains Section but in short it appears that Amazon's Post-Order Price Guarantee is going away as of Monday.

Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!
I never knew they had that. Fortunately, their pre-order price guarantee is remaining -- the one that lets you place a pre-order and ultimately pay whatever is the lowest price they set in any of the days leading up to the release date.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

This appears to be a new 3-for-2 sale at Amazon:

For instance, I just picked up The Hunt for Red October for just $10 from them -- and they have certain other titles for $15, eg. Natural Born Killers, Be Kind Rewind. Not sure if anything else is $10.
