I also had a weird experience where I ordered The Song Remains The Same in October, it shipped months later (it was recalled as soon as it first hit distributors due to a rights issue with a minor extra feature that had to be dropped), and they finally charged me for it about two months after I received it.
i think they fixed the problems from last year.

people have been using whv for awhile now and i just orderd and got free shipping over $50.
2 of the dvds dont come out for months but they shipped and delivered twister already.

For those that still receive the 10% discount on HD titles from Amazon, I noticed while placing an order today that my discount had been cut back to 5% instead of 10%. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

My ID BR order showed a $2.60 discount against a sale price of $25.95, so no, still 10%, but that was May 5th.

I will let you know next time I order.

Re: Consolidated HD Bargain Thread!

Not a major deal, but still--HMV (in Quebec anyway) has priced a lot of HD DVDs (of those they have left) at 2 for 30 (or 16.99$ each). Many of them were previously (a few weeks ago) priced at 2 for 50. I picked up Willy Wonka and the remake with Johnny Depp, as well as Rio Bravo and The Wild Bunch. Was going to get the Ultimate Matrix set for 50$ but my daughter distracted me and a fellow HD DVD scavenger beat me to it. Ah well, all's fair...

Again, not a huge deal, but a number of decent choices for not too much (I already had a lot of what they had to offer). However, some are still at full MSRP (or close)--including Bonnie and Clyde (at 36$, I'll wait a while or pick it up in "blu" later when I get a "blu" player).

This was at a small store in a suburban mall. The mega store in downtown Montreal probably has a lot more choices/copies (it's where I picked up The Matador for 6.99 about a month ago--I got Eastern Promises a week later at the downtown store for 7.99).

Those HMV/Best Buy/Future Shop deals in Canada are largely distributor and release date dependent. The $6.99/$7.99 deals are all Alliance Atlantis releases in Canada (TWC/Focus Features/New Line). in the $12.99-19.99 range are the Warner/Paramount/Uni titles, with some new release exceptions. The higher end are typically combo titles.

Yup..same here.

My National Treasure I&II order is 5% off. Still not complaining, though.

With free shipping, that makes the total about $19 per title, will most likely be better than any of my local B&M's.

2/$30 Blu-rays at Amazon

This will likely end Saturday, as they're matching Best Buy's sale on this. I picked up Gattaca and the Rock.

Wow, that 2 for $30 deal is sweet. I just picked up Troy and 300.

I can't believe that the 5 disc Blade Runner set is included in the list of movies available at this price. $15 for this set is almost too good to be true.

I am glad to see that there are still deals to be had in Blu-Ray. Even without the competition.

A couple of titles in that 2/$30 deal at amazon are $11.95 apiece (Terminator 2 and Total Recall)!!!

I wonder if you could really buy two titles and spend $8 too much?!?

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!
