Harry Potter/Order of Phoenix HD DVD problems

I did a quick survey without seeing this.

Got to watch Order of the Phoenix Friday night, using my Toshiba A3, updated to Ver 1.3 (IIRC), and it was beautiful until 1:07 (+/-) when the picture froze, though the time stamp kept going. It did it twice (I went back to try and play through it again LOL) and then it skipped a second or two a little later on (that one was obvious because the audio was out of sync with the video). I got the player to continue by using the chapter skip. And but for those two events, no other issues.

Until last night: I turned the player on and slid the disk in, got a no disk message. Took it out and tried again, same message. Flipped the disc and watched the SD version all the way through; put it in HD side up and it played this time. Used the scene menu to start just before the 1:07 mark and it played correctly through that section, too.

Short on HD disc experience; is this likely to be an anomalous behavior due to the disc, the player or the newness of the format. Should I ask Amazon to replace the disc?

Thanks for any help.

The thread title is unintentionally deceiving - I thought the title was already out of print!

I think you have a bad disc. It happens, but if you have the latest firmware, that's probably your only recourse.

Re: Harry Potter/Order of Phoenix HD DVD problems

Thread retitled from "HD Harry Potter OOP" to avoid confusion.

Thanks for fixing the unintentionally awful title I'd had.
