HEADLINES AN ALL-STAR CAST UNDER THE
DIRECTION OF FRED SAVAGE

DADDY DAY CAMP

The Sequel to the Box Office Smash Daddy Day Care
Debuts on Blu-ray™ High-Def, DVD and UMD January 29

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (November 19, 2007) – Academy Award® winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. (Best Supporting Actor, Jerry Maguire, 1997) and Paul Rae (Air Buddies, TV’s “The West Wing,” “Desperate Housewives”) star in Fred Savage’s (TV’s “The Wonder Years”) feature film directorial debut Daddy Day Camp, coming to Blu-ray™ High-Def, DVD and UMD January 29 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film, a sequel to the $164 million box office smash Daddy Day Care, follows the hapless Charlie Hinton (Gooding, Jr.) as he opens a summer camp and gets the junior campers ready for the inter-camp Olympiad.

Bonus materials include the behind-the-scenes featurette How I spent my Summer: Making Daddy Day Camp, which contains interviews with Fred Savage and Cuba Gooding, Jr., and What I Learned At Camp: Interactive Quiz, which incorporates fun facts from both the movie and the bonus featurette. This family film is priced at $38.96 SLP for Blu-ray™ High-Def, $28.95 SLP for DVD, and $24.94 SLP for PSP.

Synopsis
Charlie, the owner of a successful Daddy Day Care business, and his partner Phil (Rae II) are presented with a dilemma when their seven-year-old sons, Ben and Max, want to spend the summer at Camp Canola – a camp run by Charlie’s boyhood rival, Lance. Rather than send Ben and Max to Lance’s camp, Charlie and Phil impulsively buy the neglected, neighboring Camp Driftwood and attempt to run it themselves. However, the challenge proves to be much more difficult than expected. Finally, after numerous disasters, Charlie reluctantly enlists the help of his military-trained father, Buck. With Buck’s help, Charlie and Phil teach the kids the outdoor skills needed at camp and train for the inter-camp Olympiad against Camp Canola.

Directed by Fred Savage (Wonder Years) and produced by Matt Berenson (Daddy Day Care, Let’s Go To Prison), the film also stars Lochlyn Munrow (Deck the Halls) and Richard Gant (Norbit). Daddy Day Camp has a run time of 89 minutes and is rated PG for mild bodily humor and language.

Widescreen Presentations, Bonus Previews
Featurette: How I spent my Summer: Making Daddy Day
What I Learned At Camp: Interactive Quiz

This is the one title that will get so many people to buy themselves a BR player.

My son saw a preview for this in front of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and he asked me, "Daddy, can we go see that"? I looked at him and just shook my head no. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.

Wouldn't it be funny if this was a really great movie and everyone (including me) was just assuming it sucked?

I agree with you, Crawdaddy. This is the "killer app" that Blu-ray
has been waiting for.

No wonder HD-DVD has the pre-emptive strike with the Heartbreak Kid.

It'll take the wind right out of Daddy Daycare.

My expectations on Jurassic Park in HD. I better fricken BE THERE!

Better yet, "Hot Rod" or "Balls of Fury".

In the spirit of this thread, don't forget that other upcoming title that is sure to move Bd players. I Know Who Killed Me. (An average 16/100 rating over at Metacritic.)

Re: SPHE Press Release: Daddy Day Camp (Blu-ray/DVD/UMD)

Why oh why did I ever buy a Blu-Ray player?
Sony could have given us Taxi Driver but no they give us this crap. I almost wish that the stupid idiots lose this format war. Ah well, Universal is just as bad on the other side. And they wonder why the formats sell so bad.
