From where? There have been absolutely no announcements of comments from any Disney source.

Universal addressed the Back to the Future problem pretty quickly so if Disney keeps holding off on fixing this issue it makes them look extremely bad IMHO.

Well, since it seems that the person who does the transfer fell asleep during the first movie, which is the best of the trilogy and Oscar worthy, can’t imagine for how many reels he will fall asleep for the less worthy third movie. I will avoid it on BD.

Also seems that the Disney people too fall asleep watching their own movie. They have not reached that reel awake yet. That’s why they don’t know about it. zzzzzzzzzzz

No matter when they wake up accidentally and see that part and acknowledge it, it’s too late. The damage is done. It’s quite embarrassing.

Being 'in the industry' is about as good an answer as those stating 'unnamed industry insiders'.

Well, you don't want me to get fired, do you?

Someone in the higher level of Disney management is demanding it get fixed. And that's all I'm gonna say on the matter.

It's sad that it would require any 'one' person's involvement to get done what ought be an automatic decision to do by Disney.

Thanks for the info Brandon. It is good to know that Disney is aware of this issue. They'll fix it as this is one of-if not THE gem in their Blu-ray releases. It also has an awesome image and sound too.

Actually it is not really good business. With a title as important as this, Disney is sure to lose a lot of goodwill with the fans. Considering the amount of money companies spend on PR, this nullifies a lot of that effort. Good, long term business benefits far outweigh the cost that might be involved in re-mastering the disk. My reason for terming it sad, is that only one person in higher management understands this.
