Battlestar Galactica: Razor Unrated Extended Edition coming to HD DVD 12/4!
OVERVIEW: In a groundbreaking first, fans of Battlestar Galactica will be able to vote for their favorite DVD packaging of the Battlestar Galactica: Razor Unrated Extended Edition, which will be released by Universal Studios Home Entertainment on December 4, 2007. The website www.scifi.com/battlestar will display a selection of three choices for fans to cast their votes starting tomorrow and continuing to 12 AMmidnight Pacific Standard Time on September 7, 2007. The final selection will be posted on the site on September 14.

So, yeah, if this is on HD-DVD, I see no reason to bother watching the Sci-fi airing.

TV Shows On DVD has the press release and at the top, it reads "On DVD and HD DVD December 4, 2007". Although there's no mention of the contents or specs for the HD version.

I'll have to rent this through Netflix just to see what all the fuss is about.
I did catch about about 60 seconds of it while channel surfing but I guess it didn't grab me.

Not that familiar with this project. I have only seen Galactica on DVD and stopped halfway through Season 2.5 awaiting Season 3. I gathered from what I read that it explores an adventure on the Pegasus, but I want to avoid spoilers, so I have not read everything. I assume Season 3 of Galactica comes out before this in case it ties into a story thread there?

Accoridng to what I've read, nope. I'm pretty sure that the S3 release will be closer to the S4 premiere. It sounds strange but I guess they're assuming that the bulk of fans have seen S3 already and those who haven't will have to wait until the S3 to see this one. |
