I watched Ghost Rider last night and boy was it difficult to get fired up. The first couple of times I could not get the disc to even spin. I cleaned it and finally got it to get me into the menu. After that I'd hit play and nothing, the screen was just black. The final time I hit play and while the screen was black I hit stop and then play and the movie started. The movie played fine after that.
Anyone else have any problems with this disc? I have a Sammy BD-P1000. I plan to exchange the disc and try again.

I had no problems playing this disc on my Pioneer Elite BDP-HD1. I think planning to do an exchange is a smart move if you cannot find evidence of others having similar issues with your player.
I guess I lowered my expectations through the floor because I had fun watching it. For whatever reason, I have a switch that I can throw that'll allow me to enjoy just about any comic book movie. Blessing or curse?
and I agree the movie was awful. Although, the PQ and AQ on this BD was just amazing. The TrueHD and PCM tracks rocks.
