Yes,

for all dual-format members, let us know if you bought your HD DVD player first or second versus your BD player.

Seriously? OK. Yes, I had an HD DVD player before I had a Blu-ray Disc player. At one time my HD DVD collection exceeded my BD collection, however now the reverse is true. :shrugs:

Since no one sees it. Here. He calls Thomas and I "self-avowed HD DVD supporters" If that's no name calling, then what is?

Re: Blockbuster to favor Blu-ray HD discs over DVD format

Dude. the phrase "self-avowed HD DVD supporters" just means that they profess that they prefer HD DVD over BD. It's not name-calling.

Would you be "name calling" if you said that I was a "BD supporter"? (answer: no)

Hope that helps!

dave

You keep using that [phrase]. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Bought my XA1 first. Two months later traded a Pioneer Elite receiver for the Sammy 1000. Sold the XA1 to someone on this forum (Hope all is still going well with it) and purchased the XA2 around the 1st of the year. The Sammy died and now have on order the new Panasonic BP10A.

I forgot I also purchased a 360 Add-on in November which is now sitting at my daughters house so she can experience the HD (High Def) difference.

So to sum it up, HD DVD first in September.

  • Toshiba HD-XA2, HD Add-on, Panasonic DMP-BD10A
  • Pioneer VSX-94TXH, Panasonic PT-AE 2000U 1080p (delivered but not mounted yet)
  • 252 HD DVDs, 65 BD DVDs, and over 1560 - SD DVDs and going down
  • New buying strategy - I will continue to buy Universal and Paramount HD DVD's, but if it available in both formats, Blu-ray now gets my purchase.
