Or maybe 1.5:1 or maybe 1:1 or maybe 1:1.5 or maybe we just should wait until real numbers are posted.

Toshiba HD-XA2, HD Add-on, Panasonic DMP-BD10A Pioneer VSX-94TXH, Panasonic PT-AE 2000U 1080p (delivered but not mounted yet) 252 HD DVDs, 65 BD DVDs, and over 1560 - SD DVDs and going down New buying strategy - I will continue to buy Universal and Paramount HD DVD's, but if it available in both formats, Blu-ray now gets my purchase.

well Thomas, there will be no loss if those 350.000 from one million will go to the side of winning format, or do you think they will no buy new player and they will stop to buy movies at all ?

Even if they are not, it will make them take notice. Whatever the split percentage, it is almost a given that profitability will be there on both formats. In the end, profits are all that count.

Well, as I said in another thread, this line of reasoning cuts both ways. If a feature-starved BD outsells the feature-rich HD DVD, shouldn't this clue in Warner to release their IME titles that are prime targets for PS3 buyers like Batman Begins, The Matrix, and Terminator 3 without them? After all, based on what you're saying it is all about maxmizing profits.

It will be higher than that, the HD DVD selling even 50,000 is pretty unlikely, so I expect 80:20 for 300 this week.

WOW. Must be true if someone posted that comment in another forum. I guess it is time to sell of my HD DVD equipment.
As I said in my post above, let's wait for the official numbers.
