Sony's Summer Lineup

And while we're talking high-def, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has updated their catalog Blu-ray Disc release slate for the summer. Look for Flatliners and The Patriot: Extended Cut on 7/3, with Premonition and Wild Things following on 7/17. August catalog titles so far include Are We Done Yet?, Arlington Road and the CG-animated Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within all on 8/7. The studio tells us that several additional summer catalog and new release titles are in the works as well, and will be announced soon.

Guess I'll have a lot of extra cash this summer.

Wow. That's a vast moderate amount of lame.
Jay's Movie Blog - A movie-viewing diary.
Transplanted Life: Sci-fi soap opera about a man placed in a new body, updated two or three times a week.
Trading Post Inn - Another gender-bending soap, with different collaborators writing different points of view.
"What? Since when was this an energy ball movie?" - Overheard during a screening of Takashi Miike's Dead Or Alive
"What the hell religion are you people?" - Overheard during the Captain Marvel serial at SF/29
"If I feel even one bullet hit me, I will rip your lungs out through your nostrils!" - Ron Silver as himself, "Heat Vision And Jack"

Re: Sony's Summer slate unveiled
Man, Are We Done Yet?! Now if they can just get Are We There Yet?, I'd say this format war is game, set, match. This is one of those killer apps, almost of the level of Blood & Chocolate!
This is the downside to the format war - saving up all the ammo for another attempted fourth quarter death blow makes for a boring summer. I'm very hyped for Hellboy next week, but after that there is literally not a single Blu-Ray exclusive I am wanting this summer. Fox and Disney have really left my PS3 out in the cold this summer (not that I was gonna buy anything from Fox unless they started pricing reasonably).

I have The Patriot already pre-ordered. The rest I will skip.

Re: Sony's Summer slate unveiled
For me, it is pretty even in terms of forthcoming exclusives that I am interested in... But I admit that it is a pretty pathetic Q3 Blu-ray slate for all their vaunted studio exclusiveness.
Blu-ray Disc:
Hellboy
Ghost Rider
Fifth Element, The (Remastered)
HD DVD:
Big Lebowski, The
Monty Python's The Meaning of Life
Bourne Identity, The
Heroes: Season 1

I have everything on your list preordered, excet for 'Ghost Rider'. As far as The Fifth Element, while I will certainly get the remastered copy, it will only be if Sony offers an exchange program, as I feel the original should be looked at as a defective release.
