Black Rain - Japanese Blu-ray

Hi all, my first post.

I received the Japanese-release of "Black Rain (1989)" some time ago and the full specs are added to our database in Rewind (DVDcompare).

Basically the disc has all the extras from the US-version (also optional subs etc), but also some "exclusive ones". Bad news is, that there are no English subtitles for these Japanese extras, which is a shame. Extras are basically interview-featurettes (first 3 featurettes are listed as "interviews", but rest of them are more or less very similar) and there are no proper making-of footage (perhaps a few clips here and there, though). There are also short Yusaku Matsuda audition and Photo gallery.

I haven´t had time to fully see the transfer yet, but I have to assume that it comes from the same source as the other HD-releases. Codec is MPEG-2. English audio options are also the same. Some sources list the DTS ES 6.1-track (1.5 Mbps) as "matrix", but my receiver clearly detects the "discrete"-flag.

HD DVD-version (Japanese) should be the same, but codec could be VC-1 (like in the US HD DVD-release).

Since I´m a "collector" in nature, I like to have these extras (even without the English subs), but just to let you know that they´re not English friendly.
