I'm thinking about buying the HD DVD Jarhead. Now I don't like war movies in general with the exception of Black Hawk Down and Three Kings.

Given the above information, will I like Jarhead? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

My "opinion" would place Jar between BHD & TK's.
So, you may indeed like it.
The biggest complaint about JH that I seem to come across is 'boring'.
The movie, and the book, do indeed attempt to capture the tediousness and/or boredom of war.
Not for everyone, however if you can make it though it, with beautiful photography & Jamie Foxx to assist you on your way, you will be rewarded with a unique personal account of modern wartime.
A renter, for most people.
