A few words about... Assault on Precinct 13 -- in High Definition
Assault on Precinct 13 is not my kind of film.
Is it proper to kill rogue police or government officials that have turned on society? Possibly, as long as other means have been attempted first. If the situation is kill or be killed, I'm all for disposing of them quickly and efficiently. 9mm and sniper rifles are probably best.
Although my biggest problem with the film was the script, those who like it will love it on High Definition. And it is understandable why Universal chose it as one of the early releases.
There are wonderful densities to the images, with exteriors playing in shadow and light. As in other HD releases, color is superb, with great black levels.
The film looks terrific, with a quality transfer to HD DVD all the way.
